Hey folks, how are you all doing? Dare I mention the ‘C’ word yet?? SIX weeks people, SIX weeks!! Can I get a whoop, or rather a HO,HO,HO!!! It really is the most wonderful time of the year and over here at Making Memories in The Chaos we love it.
Every year we go all out on our crafts and play activities and this year I have decided to share with you in a little more detail what that looks like. I regularly make myself a little planner for our week and so, this Christmas time, I’m going to share that planner with you.
Each week I am going to take a theme and share 10 activities that you could try out with your little ones. I’ll also share the “Things you need” so that you can get prepared for the week ahead. (I should have said that I hope to post each planner on a Friday evening.) Then as the week progresses you can follow us on Facebook as we complete the activities.
Sound like a plan?? I’m excited to play and make and bake with you all.
Ok. So. The first week is going to be all about the gingerbread man. He’s a cutie, plus there’s a great story about him which isn’t too Christmasy for those who are thinking, “It’s the middle of November for goodness sake!”
You will need:
The Gingerbread Man story book (if possible, not essential)
mini gingerbread men cookies
cotton ear buds
gingerbread man cookie cutter
various colours of felt
cream of tartar
(Most of those things you will probably already have in your cupboards.)
The 10 activities that I hope to do next week are:
Make gingerbread cupcakes.
Gingerbread men wrapping paper.
Gingerbread cloud dough.
Gingerbread men felt.
Gingerbread men garland.
Gingerbread men craft.
Gingerbread slime / oobleck.
The Gingerbread Man story box.
So, who’s going to join us? I’d love to hear from you if you are. Be sure to stop by our Facebook page on Monday for more details on what is involved in each craft. If anyone has any questions, please get in touch. Or if anyone can think of how I can make this any clearer, please let me know.
